I suffered through this season’s run of the Americanized version of Big Brother for one reason.
It wasn’t for the drama, or the plotting, or the conniving. And there was soooo much soap opera going on, without question! And inexplicable hypocrisy as well.
(Unless you’ve seen the U.S. version of Big Brother, you cannot fully appreciate how Hollywooded it has become since the first season or two.)

My biggest dread is to sometime down the road have someone come to me and say, “Didn’t you know this was happening? Then why didn’t you say something, or let anyone know?” and timidly confess that I did know, but that I was concerned about hurting their feelings or alienating them more than I was worried that something not be done to set matters straight. Would my conciliatory silence be tantamount to facilitation? I know what is happening, know how it will turn out—but yet to remain silent and let them live their life and keep the hell out of their business is surely making me just as guilty, is it not?
